Sony Pictures has unveiled a new poster and a set of images from Resident Evil ahead of the film’s September 18, 2026, theatrical release. The movie will screen in theaters and IMAX, with tickets now available, according to Dread Central.
The poster centers on Bryan, played by Austin Abrams, leaning against a wall beside a phone that has been left off the hook. The image presents the character in a state of shock, reflecting the crisis that unfolds around him during the film.
Resident Evil follows Bryan, a medical courier who becomes caught in what is described as a nonstop race for survival when one horrifying night descends into chaos in Raccoon City. The newly released images offer additional glimpses of the film’s setting and threats, including undead figures and a tentacled creature.
One image shows the creature grabbing Bryan, while another depicts comedian Paul Walter Hauser clinging to a car. Additional production stills feature Abrams alongside Andrea Miltnerova and Johnno Wilson, as well as Hauser. Other photographs show director Zach Cregger on set with Abrams.
The film is presented by Constantin Film and Columbia Pictures, with Cregger directing. Dread Central also notes that a final trailer is still expected to be released, though no date for that trailer is provided in the report.
