Hannah Fierman Cast as Female Lead in Werewolf Film ‘Beware the Moon’

Hannah Fierman has taken the female lead in Beware the Moon, an upcoming werewolf film from filmmaker Byron C. Miller, according to an exclusive report from Rue Morgue. Conner Marx is also attached to star in the project, while Ryan Purcell will serve as cinematographer. The screenplay was written by Paul Morgan from a story developed with Miller. Morgan previously co-wrote Miller’s film The Anatomy of Monsters. Miller describes Beware the Moon as an “erotic nightmare” centered on a grieving man whose life begins to unravel after he survives a werewolf attack. As the transformation takes hold, the protagonist is pursued by a monster hunter while attempting to deal with his trauma and a new relationship. The story also includes hallucinations and violence as elements of the character’s increasingly unstable reality. According to the filmmaker, the project is designed as an independently produced feature with a modest budget while retaining its cinematic scope. Miller characterizes the film as a character-focused story contained within a visceral horror framework. The title is not connected to the documentary American Werewolf in London, which shares the same name. Fierman first drew attention in the horror anthology V/H/S before starring in its spinoff feature Siren. Her more recent credits include Bystanders, New Fears Eve, Wolf Hollow and episodes of Creepshow. She also made her feature directorial debut with The Events Surrounding a Peeping Tom, in which she additionally appears as a co-star. Miller recently shared a first look at his Better in Black music video. No release date or production schedule for Beware the Moon was provided in the report.
