The trailer for Goody Goody is now available ahead of the film’s September 18 premiere on Shudder. The pregnancy horror movie centers on a family whose home birth takes a sinister turn while a blizzard leaves them isolated inside their home.
According to the film’s synopsis, expecting parents and their midwife initially find comfort in the long birth process. That situation changes as increasingly troubling complications emerge, leading them to suspect that something is seriously wrong.
The trailer presents the pregnancy as the source of an unsettling mystery, with the mother appearing unusually connected to what is growing inside her. Dread Central, which debuted the footage exclusively, describes the preview as featuring grotesque contractions, creepy stingers, and a cliffhanger involving a killer.
Goody Goody was written and directed by Raymond Creamer. Its cast includes Samantha Robinson, Zoe Renee, Colby Hollman, and Colleen Foy.
Harrison Rothman, Steven Schneider, and Keely Kemp are credited as producers. The film will stream on Shudder beginning September 18.
