Captivity 5/18
24, The Girl Next Door, and even a brief bit in Old School have
definately shown Elisha Cuthbert as a quality performer, but House of Wax has left her with limited horror film credibility.
Right now it seems more is known about the controversy surrounding the marketing than the plot and we love controversy. The idea
of a serial killer playing on someone's fears using traps and tricks might not seem entirely new, but who knows what all we'll
actually see in the theaters. AfterDark Films is quickly coming into their own, let's hope this just keeps them rolling.

Bug 5/25
William Friedkin, best known for directing The Exorcist(1973), gives it
another go at the horror genre and it seems it's likely to be his first commercial hit in years. So far the trailer looks very
promising and a great cast featuring Michael Shannon, Ashley Judd, and crooner Harry Connick Jr.

Mr. Brooks 6/01
Kevin Costner has never been one to back away from new material,
however many seem to think he doesn't back away from poor material either. While a lot of the net buzz has been fairly
negative mainly focusing on a cast that seem fit to have starred in this movie twenty years ago (Coster, Demi Moore,
William Hurt) but so far I'm getting really good vibes from it. Personally I've always found Costner entertaining and
William Hurt is a true talent. The real question, can Dane Cook play drama? Official Site
Hostel 2 6/08
The sequel to one of the most controversial films of 2005 is soon
to hit theaters and it's promising to completely outdo the original. Many are wondering how it can make such a claim but
few are wondering if the film will be a success. It seems destined to be part 2 in a series, ala Saw, but also like many
we hope that Roth moves on after this one to lend his voice to more and more projects. So far he's busted into the scene
(Cabin Fever), made the right friends (Quentin Tarantino), and started a potential franchise (Hostel). The cards are stacked
in his favor to have a long and fruitful career. Official Site
Fido 6/15
This film has cult classic written all over it, but only time will tell
if this will be able to translate to American audiences on the big screen. All we needed to know was zombie comedy and Billy
Connolly and we were convinced that we were in for a treat.
